DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to watch the underwater life in its natural environment?

To glide slowly over the colorful coral formations, to watch the exotic fish chasing each other or to see a turtle going to the surface to get a breath of air? Scuba diving will show you this and much more.

If you want to try it, but aren’t quite ready to enroll into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving Program is for you.

It’s a quick and easy single-day introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world. This program is ideal if you’re on vacation at a dive destination but a bit limited in time.

To sign up for a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience you must be at least 10 years old. No prior experience of scuba diving is required. We’ll provide you with all the necessary equipment.

The Program starts with the detailed briefing on the effects of water pressure, underwater communication, equipment use and water safety. Then you’re ready to jump into water!

Our boat will take you to a shallow open water spot. During the first session you’ll practice to breathe through a regulator and swim efficiently in diving gear.

You will also be shown a few simple skills from the Open Water Diver course. All this will be done under a close supervision of our experienced instructor, who will make sure your first diving experience is smooth, safe and enjoyable.

The second session involves a dive at an easy, shallow ocean reef site this is where your fun begins! The instructor will guide you through the dive site pointing out at the hidden sea life that you might not be able to spot yourself.

Now you’ll get a chance to feel like a true diver and observe all the beauty that the Cozumel reefs are so well-known for.

We’ll take lots of underwater photos and videos to make your first dive really memorable.

Those will be available at an additional cost, just ask your instructor for more information. After the dive the boat will take you back to the initial point of embarkation.

The whole Program lasts around 5 hours and includes 2 dives from the boat up to the maximum depth of 12 meters. In between the dives we’ll offer you a light snack of seasonal fruit and cookies. Chilled water is provided throughout the whole trip upon your request.

Our boat ‘Akula’ leaves daily from Marina Caleta for a morning or an afternoon trip.
